What we put into our bodies does more than just fill our stomachs—it fuels our energy, sharpens our minds, and even boosts our mood. The connection between nutrition and well-being is powerful, especially for preteen girls.
When your daughter eats well, she doesn’t just feel better—she shows up better. Healthy food supports mental clarity, emotional stability, and physical strength. And yes, food also impacts something else your daughter may struggle with: self-confidence.
When you help her cultivate a healthy relationship with food you’re actually supporting her self-worth. But many parents struggle talking with their preteen (or teen) daughter about healthy food choices. Girls can often reject their parent’s attempt to instill healthy habits or try new nutritious foods.
That’s where Mother-Daughter Yoga comes in.
In my one-of-a-kind Mother-Daughter Yoga class, Inspiring Healthy Choices, we explore what it really means to make choices that support our whole selves—from the foods we eat, to the friends we surround ourselves with, to the thoughts we choose to believe. It’s a fun, heart-centered class that encourages girls and moms to connect, reflect, and grow together.
And in the class, we start valuable conversations about the impact food has on mental health. Your daughter will learn that when her body feels nourished and strong, it’s easier to trust herself, try new things, and solve problems. She’ll also learn about some delicious superfoods. These include:
🌰 Nuts are loaded with protein and healthy fats that keep energy stable throughout the day. They also contain key nutrients like calcium for strong bones and magnesium, which is known to support mood and reduce anxiety.
🍓 Berries are delicious little antioxidants that support healthy skin, boost the immune system, and help protect against disease.
🥑 Avocados are creamy and satisfying, and they help strengthen the heart and cardiovascular system with their healthy fats.
By attending my Mother-Daughter Yoga class, Inspiring Healthy Choices, you are laying a foundation for lifelong health, confidence, and self-respect.
